About African Energy
African Energy is a US-based wholesale distributor of high-quality solar and backup power equipment and solar-powered water pumping solutions exclusively for Africa. We focus on recruiting, training, and supplying entrepreneurs in renewable energy all across Africa.
Founded in 2002 with headquarters in Southern Arizona, African Energy serves over 600 solar installers and project developers in over 40 African countries. We supply solar equipment and provide the technical training to install them. The company represents major US and international brands in the off-grid solar electric industry and is the only distributor of its kind in Africa.
African Energy operates depots in 10 countries. The depots are in major African markets such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. They play a crucial role in expanding the renewable energy sector beyond the countries where they are located.
